Rochester Museum & Science Center

Rochester Museum & Science Center

A Great Science Museum in New York for Families!

This large science and learning center in Upstate NY has three levels of exhibits that will enthrall visitors of all ages. Hands-on and interactive programs and displays are fun *and* educational! Have fun exploring the museum's permanent exhibitions such as the Adventure Zone, an exhibit where you can dive to the floor of Lake Ontario, see the rock layers that make up the Genesee River Gorge and operate an interactive model of the Erie Canal lock.

Changing special exhibitions focus on various aspects of the sciences. Be sure to stop by the Strasenburgh Planetarium to watch an exciting documentary on the huge dome screen overhead, or to see a planetarium star show. This Upstate New York science museum is open 7 days a week.
