Independence Hall

Independence Hall

Walking Through an Old History Building in Pennsylvania

The Independence Hall was built between 1732 and 1753, designed by Edmund Wooley and Andrew Hamilton. It is considered a fine example of the cool interior of Georgian architecture. One of the things to do here is to find the most iconic Rising Sun Chair. The chair was used by George Washington during the Constitutional Convention in 1787.

It is also famous primarily as the location of where the Declaration of Independence and United States Constitution were debated and adopted. The hall opens daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
