Inwood Canoe Club

Inwood Canoe Club

The Oldest Canoeing Club in Manhattan!

As the oldest canoe and kayak club in Manhattan, the Inwood Canoe Club consists of enthusiastic paddlers all over the borough!  The non-profit organization promotes kayaking and canoeing in Manhattan for both recreational and competitive purposes.  Between 1936 and 1986, five of the club's members went as far as competing in the Olympic games!

Over the last decade, the club has served about 3,600 people, mainly from Manhattan's Washington Heights and Inwood areas.  Open to the public, the club offers short kayak trips from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, on Sundays from 10 A.M. until noon.  Browse the website to find information about Inwood's open houses.
