Learn the Maritime History of Staten Island!

This great historical museum in Staten Island is located on the grounds of a former retirement home for sailors. With a specific goal of preserving and displaying the maritime artw0rk of artist John A. Noble, this museum also exhibits period decorated rooms, artifacts and artwork relating to Staten Island's maritime history.

 

This is definitely a Staten Island historical museum to see if you enjoy the history of sailing, boating and things relating to ships. Among the museum's permanent collections are the houseboat studio of John Noble, now preserved within the museum, and a ship model gallery displaying all types of model ships from the 18th through 20th century. Open Thursday through Sunday - admission is by donation.
