Canoeing in Brooklyn and all over NY!

A volunteer-run, nonprofit, membership organization in Canarsie, Brooklyn; the Sebago Canoe Club consists of kayakers, canoeists, sailors, rowers, and flatwater racers.  All members are allowed use of club boats and will be given a place to store them.  You'll also receive lessons in sea kayaking, sailing, and flatwater racing.

 

The canoe club is perfect for small boat enthusiasts everywhere.  For over 75 years, the club has attracted members of all ages, interests, and races.  Group activities include bi-weekly kayak trips, day and overnight cruises, rowing, racing, canoeing day trips, and kayak fishing.

Row Boating and other Fun Activities in Brooklyn!

Located in Canarsie, Brooklyn; the Sebago Canoe Club is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization for small boating enthusiasts all over the borough and other parts of NY.  The club's many activities include sea kayaking, cruising, canoeing, sailing, kayak fishing, and row boating.  Boat along the calm waters of Paerdegat Basin and Queens' Jamaica Bay.  Although no formal rowing instruction will be provided, your fellow members will be more than glad to show you the ropes. 

 

The club 's history spans over 75 years; attracting members of every age, interest, and ethnic background.  The club also serves the community with programs like sailing regattas and bi-weekly kayak trips.

Sebago Canoe Club

Kayaking Trips, Lessons, and Activities in Brooklyn!

A volunteer-run, non-profit boating club in Canarsie, Brooklyn; the Sebago Canoe Club is located on the Paerdegat Basin, rewarding you with direct access to the spectacular Jamaica Bay waters.  Members of the club include kayakers, canoeists, sailors, rowers, and flatwater racers.  With your membership you're given access to a clubhouse and club boats, boat storage; instructional programs in sea kayaking, sailing, and flatwater racing; and a cabin on Lake Sebago in Harriman State Park.

 

Sebago boasts the largest membership out of all activity groups in the area and has a busy schedule of trips, lessons, and activities.  During the peak season you can enjoy guided kayaking trips along Jamaica Bay, as well as regional trips in the Tri-State area.  If you have any questions about becoming a member, send an e-mail to membership@sebagocanoeclub.org.  The membership form is available on the website.
