New York's most famous zoo, the Bronx Zoo is also the world's largest metropolitan zoo with 265 acres of animal habitats and enclosures. Home to several thousand animals, and many endangered species, this zoo has been delighting visitors since 1899. People of all ages will love walking through each area of the zoo to see the animals that are indigenous to each habitat and region.
Spend some time out in the fresh air as you view tigers, monkeys, hippos, giraffes, rhinos and more fascinating animals. An indoor Congo Gorilla Forest is home to 20 western lowland gorillas, okapi and mandrills.
