The Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum

Top of the List of Historic Homes in Brooklyn NY!

The Wyckoff house, built by a Dutch immigrant c. 1652, is the oldest building in all of New York City and one of the oldest wooden structures in the entire US.  A National Historic Landmark, this Dutch-colonial style house became a museum in the early 1980s and serves to teach visitors about early Dutch-American farming communities.

The museum can only be seen by guided tours - available for individuals and groups. See what life was like for a family of 13 in a one-room home. Several types of tours are offered at this famous historic home in Brooklyn, including hands-on tours where you can have a scavenger hunt, churn butter, learn to pickle, make your own cole-slaw and more!
