The Tibbets Point Lighthouse is one of the few worth visiting Lighthouses in NY. It  is located at the point where Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River meet. After the lighthouse became fully automated in 1976, the Victorian-era light keeper's quarters was converted to a hostel. Explore the Lighthouse Museum next door. In the town of Cape Vincent, visit the Historical Museum, Fisheries Station - Aquarium and Breakwater Gallery. Take the ferry from Cape Vincent for a day trip to Wolfe Island and Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Antique Boat Museum in Clayton - 12 miles NE. The Tibbets Point Lighthouse has different hours of operation for customers to follow. It is open Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend.
